  1. I was hoping they were joking!!! I would die for a tank like that. Maybe someday.
  2. more progress pics. light bracket is made and dropped off at the powdercoat shop.
  3. Not really. I guess the biggest thing I was trying to do is salvage the 3 way manifold that came with the tank. I did pick up my pipe for my light bracket that hopefully will be built Wednesday. It's only 1/2solid pipe so should be very sleek.
  4. Question. Do you think a mag12 is enough for a return and a manifold for 3 reactors or is that simply asking to much, out of the pump?
  5. A lot of great advice and I appreciate it. We will have it up and running in no time. My goal is to have water in it the week of Xmas. That's my plan anyways. Now that the pump problem is solved I should have everything to at least get the cycle started except for my light bracket.
  6. It was 3/4 full the day before I got it. The chip is only on the bottom pane. It's not as big as it looks in the pick. Probably the size of a dime maybe a nickel.
  7. Well, I stand corrected in a good way. Mag pumps are only 3.5" wide. So I can use my 12 for a return and my 9.5 on the manifold for the reactors.
  8. If anyone in the Winchester or surrounding area happens to go this way I could use the dj rack.but I don't wanna drive all the way to Annandale for just that.
  9. As bad as it seems and as mad as it makes me its really not that bad. And to make matter worse I didn't realize the return pump chamber on the sump is only 4 inches wide. What the heck kind of pump is gonna fit that. I have 3 mag pumps that are not gonna help me at this point. Anyone got a external pump they wanna do some trading on? On a good note other than the pump issue this sump is bada@@#. I've never seem a sump like this. He paid 800 to have it built.
  10. I don't want it so thick you will see it from the front as it will be up against the front glass.
  11. I ordered black silicone from the lfs. It will be in next Wednesday. What size and thickness would you recommend for the repair?
  12. So put a piece in and silicone around the edges? Can I use plexiglass or does it have to be glass? Also, what type of silicone can I use and get locally?
  13. There was water in it. He said he didn't know it was there. The black is the excess silicone on the bottom of the tank.
  14. It was already there but I didn't want to come back empty handed. It is inside on the bottom pice of glass on the front. Where the front and bottom meet.
  15. the chip is inside on the front edge of the tank. the glass piece is loose but attached to the silicone so i havent touched it.
  16. well, the stand wont fit in my house. so gonna have to do some work on the stand i was building. second, im gonna post some pics of this chip. please give advice on what to do before water testing. ive never fixed a tank before.
  17. I'd I told you how much coffee I drink you would have a heart attack for me. That chips got me pretty nervous and the glass isn't perfectly square like my reef savvy was. Don't get me wrong its a beautiful tank but it won't matter if it leaks!! Lol
