OK So I came home Wed night and this is what I found... A crack and leaking sump. So off to the PetCo $1/gallon sale and bought 2 new 40g breeders One to fix the sump, one to make a new correct sump with baffles. Silicone would have needed to cure anyway. So the stopgap measure was the easiest. This is a picture of my baffle less sump. This upcoming week I will have to make the new one. This weekend already booked up with a wedding and out of town. Life is wonderful. HAHAHAHA

Thanks!! This has been an effort in love and hate.... (salt and aptasia) (Aptasia is all gone so...) I did some more video's and I am looking at spinning backup up my 120 and pipe it in with the 180 (plus the sumps for both). So about 300 g when done. I look forward to meeting and seeing some of you at the meeting in April.

Yeah... thanks... my kids stayed out from under my feet while I did it. HAHAHA... I think they were afraid that I would make them help. It looks so much better and brighter. Granted the HA was not bad looking to me. My cheato is prob going to explode now.

Well I did 3 days of Lights out, 1 of actnic only. I took the vacuum cleaner attachment that is used for the end of the hose, soaked it in vinegar for 3 days. Took my hose I use for water changes added a few rubber-bands around it, to make a good seal INSIDE the adapter. Took the hose and ran it to the sump, into a filter sock, and just scrubbed away,. That is why the glass has SO MANY drip marks. I was like... you know.. those that understand what I did will not have a problem with a few drip marks. (LOL) It only took me about 2 hours to slowly and painstakenly go through and scrub it with the long bristle adapter and get sucked up into the hose. I have a few more spots to go. The RBTA did not want to move so I did not do that one section.

I am looking at taking my old 120 and piping it into my 180 setup and make this a frag/sps tank. Tie it together for an overall: 180dt+40sump + 120dt+50sump But I have to wait until the 'walkaround' video gets pain on the walls and the floor painted. Ideas? Comments? Ohh.. btw... I really like this hobby more and more, everytime I sit and watch it.

Thanks. Since the start of that thread I have since upgraded to a dedicated fish room and changed tanks to a 180 with a 40g sump. Much better than the 120 and 2 fx5 canister filters. Well the lack of a filter sock allows the drain's to feed the LR/LS and the refug. I dont have any real noise, my drains are all below the surface of the water. The bubbles go through two seperate bubble traps before it puts water back into the DT. I will get an updated picture later today of the sump.

I did... but now I just have 2x mp40's I cleaned off the Korilla and put one of them below in the sump to circulate over the LR more than the return and skimmer already do. Keeps the junk stirred up. The MP40's would be set to about 80% on reef crest. Everything loved it. I am still trying to get them cycled out for the 180.
