1.

wow... I don't need it that quiet man!!! I wonder how well they actually work though.......
2. What about a Potter's Angel? Anyone have any experience with them?
3.

thanks!
4. I had a NWB200 on my last reef, and I loved it. But since I am looking at a recirculating skimmer now, people have been recommending I go with an SRO over a DNWB model. But the SRO's are not recircs... Have you had any experience with the recirc models?
5. I don't believe that this is true, but it does have some reputable references..... http://www.usatoday.com/tech/columnist/aprilholladay/2006-01-09-shrimp_x.htm LOL
6. Nah.. It's the latest diet trend!!! Eat ALL the peanuts you'd like!
7. That is a nice skimmer for sure, but I am looking for a recirculating skimmer. I like the idea of gravity feeding the skimmer with my return line.
8. Well, until recently I had planned on purchasing an Avast CS-1 with the recirc mod. Since my tank is very close to our bed, and I have lost blood, sweat, and tears trying to make it as quiet as possible, I have decided to look at other options. What I want - Top quality construction Recirculation - My sump is deep and I don't want to have to keep the skimmer on a stand like I have it now. Ability to use on my next tank which will inevitably be much larger SILENCE Please let me know your recommendations... I was looking at Bubble King, but the mini series isn't recirc, or as far as I could tell they weren't. THANKS!!!
9. Awesome, thanks guys!! You know after all of the contemplating I did over whether to start with dry or live rock, I am sure glad I chose live.. When I had my rock out of the tank for a second to re-aquascape, I actually had a tiny crab run out onto my hand!! Pretty neat!
10.

my radion maxes out at 40%, and the zoas are near the bottom of a 24" tank.
11. Thanks guys! The zoas are all on a stick-like rock. Should I dip that in peroxide? If so, at what strength and for how long?
12. I'm reading good and bad about cukes... What are your experiences?
13. I'm not sure what this is, but my gut tells me "nudibranch". Please let me know if this is harmful, helpful, or neither. Thanks guys!
14. Hey guys, some of my zoas have not opened up for days. Others stay open 24-7. I am worried about the closed ones. Here are my parameters: Temp- 77-78F PH - 7.75-8.0 Alk- 8.2 dKH Ammonia < .25 mg/ml Nitrate .75 ppm I have not measured calcium or magnesium lately, but I know they are high. Here is a pic: I appreciate your advise and expertise in advance!
15. Well after learning about aquascaping from you guys, I finally got a moment to re-do my tank. I ended up having to break several large pieces in order to do this, and I am pretty pleased with the results. Please critique! Sorry for the cloudiness, the water is still settling out....
16. I had no problems with it, but only ran it for a year.
17. I used one on my 75 but it wasn't on a closed loop, it was on my return. They are limited to the amount of flow they can handle (without mods), and they didn't alternate back and forth as quickly as I would have liked.
18. I had a Tunze 9002 in the back of a 24gal biocube once and thought it did quite well. Not sure if you have a hood or not, but may have to mod it to fit the collection cup on the Tunze.
19. I really like this one:
20. Wow.. Thanks guys!
21. Wow.. so I need a masonry bit, some super-glue and some acrylic rods to do that, right?
22. Thanks! Dunno... Some dude delivered it to me for the same price as I would have paid to buy lower quality stuff from an LFS..... I REALLY like that Idea... I'll have to give it a shot.
23. Yeah, I've done some more reading.... The bicolor seems to have quite a few negatives- especially since I plan to keep LPS. I like the flameback because it has similar colors. The main reason I like the bicolor is because although it is a small angel, it retains the shape of it's larger relatives... sort of shaped like a Queen Angel. I cant find another Angel like it. Any ideas? Yes. They are very much so. I have had one before and may indeed get another! I plan on keeping a mixed reef with a heavy emphasis on LPS. I also plan to fab a screen top, as I have lost more than a couple 6-lines in the past.... :-( I really want to place most emphasis on the corals, but I do love the fish as well... You have a nice setup... what do you recommend?
24. Hey Ryan, give Wayne a call bro....
25. I'm thinking about rearranging my live rock while I still can... Being that I have a cube, I wanted to stay away from the basic "rock wall" against the back of the tank. So I pretty much just stacked my rocks in the center. I can't help but feel that all of the space now behind my stack is sort of wasted. I could build up and around my center overflow and give the appearance of more depth from the front, also feeing up more sand bed real estate for future LPS beauties... What do you think? Am I over-thinking this? Any good ideas? I've never had a tank with such a large front to back dimension.... Thanks! Oh and here are some current pics to support my description: Thanks guys!!
