  1. Brian, looks great! That's a Maggie muffler on top of the standpipe. You can adjust the length of the tube to control the noise. http://maggiemuffler.com
  2. Looks good. Hopefully the nem colors back up quickly.
  3. Looks good Tony. Hey, I think I have a Hydor Pico pump laying around. I'll be at Meade tomorrow. Shoot me a PM.
  4. Who is using Tropic Eden Reeflakes? I'm thinking of using this and was wondering if it's best to mix it along with the miniflakes. Thanks, --Richard
  5. You can use this. It sits inline between the riser and the valve. http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=24874&catid=643&clickid=searchresults
  6. I'm thinking of making it a mixed reef tank. The tank will be in wall where the old tank used to be. I had to extend the stand because the new tank is deeper.
  7. Hi Everyone, I've been in this hobby for just over a year and am always learning new things everyday. I started out with a 29g tank and am upgrading to a 70g cube (30x30x18). Adam from Artfully Acrylic built my tank and he did an awesome job. I had an excellent experience working with him from start to finish. I picked up the tank yesterday. --Richard
  8. Thanks. Is there a chance any of them will survive?
  9. Just saw this today. Anyone know what this squiggly thing on the glass is?
  10. They gave out pictures and signed them. I didn't get a chance to talk with them much. There was a family there from NY and they were all about talking to the kids. They were cool and down to earth, just how you see them on TV.
  11. I visited their shop the other day. They were filming when I got there, so I wasn't able to get a full tour. Sorry for the unrotated pics. I'm on a mac and they look fine to me, but after I posted they look off and I don't know how to rotate them.
  12. Hey Renato, I can hold onto some of your stuff if you need. :-)
  13. Thanks Max! I also appreciate your help with the Octopus SS part. Thanks for the advice. My next purchase is going to be a RODI system. I've been buying RO water from a Water Factory near my house.
  14. Hello! I'm new to WAMAS as well as to the hobby. My coworker Bob (YBeNormal), told me about WAMAS. This site is great and I've learned a lot about this hobby from all the posts. I have a 29g tank, which is built into a wall in my basement and it's been up for a little over two months. I have a CUC of various snails, a few hermits, and a cleaner shrimp. I also have a pair of true percs and a six line wrasse. I would like to give props to my LFS, Aquarium One. The guys there are very knowledgable and helped me get my tank started. I'm already addicted to this hobby and can see myself going broke! --Richard
