  1. Pretty sure Petland has them.
  2. Pretty fun video. I currently have a DIY fixture with four channels and 5 colors, but I'm interested to see where all this R&D leads.
  3. I've had good luck with Liveaquaria, but have switched to Wayne from Saltwaterworx. He's been able to get everything I've asked for with better prices and he hand delivers to your house. He also offers a QT service, but I've never used it. I'd recommend giving him a PM if you have anything in mind.
  4. I feed at least 4 times a day via auto feeder and usually 2-3 times a day with mysis and cyclopeeze (I carbon dose with vinegar through my ato). My guess is that your tang is letting you know it's time for a bigger home. I'd suggest upgrading or selling to somebody with a bigger tank.
  5. Ryan, Apogee has admitted that their PAR meter does not measure LEDs very well. Before you add any additional equipment, like T5s, you should wait for things to settle and see how corals react to your current lighting setup. Vivid Aquariums is growing SPS on the sandbed in a 30" deep tank with Radions.
  6. Believe me, I've got patience for days, this is going to be a months long process due to my very travel heavy work schedule. I figure a bit of prevention to avoid a ton of leaching over a few months is worth the small time investment. I see absolutely no reason to just put the rock in the tank and let it leach.
  7. Have you ever checked out algaescrubber.net? There are some pretty small ones on there.
  8. I think your tank, in its current state, is pretty much perfect for an ATS of some sort. You're dealing with high nutrients and a young tank. It's at least something to think about that has basically zero risk. I'm considering setting this tank up on an ATS from the beginning mostly because I've never used one before.
  9. I have a gallon of muriatic acid and a quart of Lanthanum chloride on the way. Did you do anything to wash off any dead material?
  10. I'm in the process of collecting materials to upgrade to a 120G and yesterday I pulled the trigger on 60 pounds of Pukani rock. For anybody that has used the Pukani rock, what did you do to get it ready for your tank? I've read the stories about dead organic matter and excessive phosphate and I want to avoid a long, smelly cycle and leaching as much as possible.
  11. Beautiful tank. I've been thinking about setting up a vertical ATS for some time. Seems like a good concept that would allow me to feed more without worrying about daily carbon dosing.
  12. Thanks, Chad. I'm just looking for the wave lock washer that I lost when I replaced the bearings in my MP40. Unfortunately, they don't offer any internal components on their website. I have heard that Ecotech is pretty generous when you send damaged stuff back to them.
  13. I really like my Avast.
  14. Chad, is anything salvageable from the MP40 dry side? I need a couple of internal parts if you're willing to let them go.
  15. I'm pretty sure the outlet is integrated into the base, which is a unique feature for this and the Skimz brand.
  16. Here's a big thread from reef central with a lot of good information: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1486086
  17. Have you bought all of the ORA frags locally?
  18. It'll be a tight fit on the PVC so you shouldn't need much epoxy inside. I used the epoxy to attach the rocks to each other and, essentially, make one rock. I also used the PVC to make a base to keep the rocks off the bottom of the tank.
  19. You can use pieces of plastic coat hangers or small CPVC. I didn't have luck finding acrylic rod locally.
  20. I really like this aquascape: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=19297346&postcount=614 A lot of room for SPS, LPS, and some shade for some easy NPS. Easy to light with those Radions too.
  21. That would look nice, but I wouldn't put anything too close to the side glass since you have such great 3 sided viewing potential. Here are the two mega cube threads on RC (really one thread with a split): http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=344317 http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1085721 If you want inspiration, and have a lot of time, you'll find it in these.
  22. Is post #7 on this thread: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1370678 similar to what you're thinking?
  23. LPS or SPS dominate? (I figure you didn't spend $1,500 on lights to keep softies )
