After taking a break, I've decided to restart things and am looking for a 4ft. x 2 ft. 120G tank. I've seen a lot of discussions about the best brands/builders etc... and wanted to get advice from the WAMAS community on where to begin. At this point, I'm looking at drilling the tank or having it drilled and running a bean animal overflow. Any thoughts on where to get a good glass tank and whether the bean animal is a good idea that will help eliminate any noise?

Anyone have any suggestions for a good refugium light? I know some are using LED's while others use CFL's or something else. Are there pros or cons on these bulbs? Anyone have great success with one over the other?

Does anyone know if the Avast unit will stop your pump from running dry if the ATO reservoir happens to be empty? I think the JBJ unit does that.

I have a similar setup and would agree with the last post that you don't need to add a powerhead to the RODI container. However, should you choose to do so, I'd put your pumps on "powerhead" mode.

For those that dose 2-part...What section of the sump do you drop your Calcium and Alk into? Skimmer, return, refugium, etc? Does it make a difference, or is it largely personal preference? Thanks...

I'm trying to decide on whether I need to add a chiller to my 120g tank. My temps tend to rise during the warmer months/days and I'm thinking about moving in that direction. Does anyone have any thoughts on what size, brands, etc... are good to consider? I'm sure one of the downsides to owning a chiller is an increase in the electric bill, but are there any others? Thanks...
