  1. LOL! Take a look at this Treesprite! http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...toryId=10265882
  2. I had a great time at the Frag Fest "08! Learned a lot and was amazed at the manipulation these sensitive organisms can take! Thanks to everyone that put it together and who donated the corals for fragging. Here are my frags about an hour after putting them in the QT. Poccillopora? Tabling Acro. Galaxea.
  3. Here is my Tubastrea when I first got it in March "07. With my Blue Spot jawfish Dotty. Here is a close up. Here it is on the rockwork. Here is is when I first moved it to the sandbed around August "07. Here it is today. I feed it mysis and cyclopseze. Here is my black Tubastrea. A stunning specimen, but more difficult than the yellow IMO. I've had it for about 3 months. It opens regularly.
  4. Believe it or not mine did better when I moved it to the sandbed! Here it is open for feeding. It opens like this anytime I feed the tank. I've had it about 9 months. I can even see tiemy little babies sprouting out from the perimeter.
  5. Here is one that I found in my tank.
  6. Hey Bob! Have you considered a Lawnmower blenny? You could get a small Foxface, but it would soon outgrow a 29 gallon. My Foxface ate every sprig of algae in my tank and asked for more!
  7. My understanding is that Ca reactors are for maintaining Ca in a system that already have the targets met rather than for raising already low Ca and Alk . You may want to consider dosing with B-Ionic gradually until you reach your target #'s of Ca and Alk then test for how long it takes to drop. Use your Ca reactor to maintain your target numbers.
  8. Great looking start Jason! I like the "untypical" dimensions of this tank. I'll be tagging along and looking forward to its growth and development.
  9. I was impressed with the selection Sonny had to offer. It's nice to see a LFS that specializes in coral. I went over budget with my Aussie acan frag and a 25+ head Duncan. My free zoa frag was not open at the store but when it finally opened was spectacular with maroon and bright green on the same rock. I got my 10% discount for being a WAMAS/MASNA member. It was a pleasure meeting some of the WAMAS members. Ran into Sean, Dave and Bob. Bob and I even stopped at another LFS on the way back home. Can't remember the name. It was an off the beaten path little LFS but was a real gem! The SW tanks were pristine and the livestock was very healthy. I recommend Mr. Coral's new store without reservation!
