My red spotted blenny and target mandarin go crazy for the PE. This is the first frozen food that they will all eat and I feed all sorts of frozen food to my other fish. Great stuff.

Add each component at least 30 min separately otherwise they may precipitate.

The PAR of CF are pretty weak compared to that of T5s or MHs.

Follow the Randy Holmes instructions. ALK is Arm & Hammer baking soda and CA is Calcium cloride. Go to www.twopartsolution.com to buy them all at once in stead of one item at a time. I make my own and so far it is working great.

Its way better to be in debt to a friend than to a credit card to replace all (possible thousands) that has been lost. Just return the favor or give them some frags and a lot of thanks. That's what this club is about, to share a common interest in the hobby. Ask don

3000K GE have the highest PAR but the color is Orange. If these are going on the main tank go for the aquablue 12000k. 50/50 mixed bulb. I usually go 3:1 or 2:1 (antinic:white)

Check out your tank at night after the lights have been out for awhile. If you see "critters" running around then you have them. You can buy some from BRK as the have then in a bottle.

Make your own.
or really on the cheap side use baking soda (ALK), prestone heat (CA), Epson salt (MgSO4), and Magflake (MgCl2).

Alot depends on the color of the bulb. 14K by one company could be a 10K by another companies description. If possible view others setups and go with bulbs you like.

Those are the TEK I good enough really. Also the material the SLR are stainless and the TEK I are aluminum. Still at clearance prices that's pretty good.
-
The TEK 2 are wider about 3 inches. The SLR are 2.5 perfect for the space that the standoff takeup.

David,
What are you needing it for?
I'am gluing an acrylic cylinder to a PVC slip cap. It has a 1mm gap in between so I need to fill it in a little.

Anyone know where Weld-on #16 is stocked in my area?

Does 14k or 20k = 10k + actinics?
in General Discussion
Yes, but the amount of useable light in the 10K range will lessen so you lose Photo synthetically Active Radiation (PAR). Thus your calm will look bluer but will grow slower. That is why many people keep 10K (white) bulbs but add antinic light to supplement blues.
