I picked up a bunch of fish from John today! Nice stuff that really isn't common! John still had a bunch of other cool fish that isn't in there all the time! One fish he had called and Angler looked pretty ugly but blends in with live rock and would go well in a fish only tank. I would have picked him up as well but he would have eaten the other small fish I got today!

I have seen them at Lowes and Homedepot in there water section. From what I remember they aren't to expensive there either.

John has it at BRK and it's cheaper buying from BRK probably then buying it online when you add shipping.

The red slime that you are talking about is called Cyano..... I had the same problem and the way that I got rid of it was stronger lighting and stronger flow. (considerably more flow)

DON'T GIVE UP YET......... YOU CAN USE A SMALLER PROP FOR THE MOD AT ANY HOBBY SHOP. IT WILL SPIN FASTER BUT WONT' BLOW EVERYTHING DOWN....

I am actually down here in the keys right now..... The weather is great around 80 degress unfortunatley the snorkeling and diving activites has been terrible with the wind kicking up and the visability going down hill. I have been here a week and have only dove twice because of the visibilty.

Oh I lucked out this morning..... John at BRK got a huge shipment of new fish in this morning and I was first in the door. John said it was his biggest order yet! I picked up a beautiful Blue spotted Jawfish for $139!!!! I will post pictures once I finish acclimating and he makes a home!

Yes I did a two point calibration. I did not know that there is a special cleaning fluid. I think I will try that before anything elese. As far as the jumping I could physically watch the numbers go up and down

The reason I ask is the PH Monitor has been doing a rollercoaster all day. I hate hearing that alarm go off. I checked everything and all seemed to be in tolearnce. I then did a manual check of the PH and it was right on 8.1 and the monitor said 7.5 I was eating dinner and heard the alarm again and ran down stairs and it was at 6.6 I grabbed my hand held PH monitor made by milwaukee and it was at 8.0 The monitor is only about 2 months old and I calabrated it then. Any suggestions?????

Call BRK if John is there which he usally is, he will pick up. I talked with him today and he was at his shop for about 2 hours or so. I doubt John will turn away any business.

I just bought a special blade that fits on my table saw to cut acrylic. I tested it out a little while ago and it cuts staright and clean. If your in the Haymarket VA area I can try to cut it for you.

WoW I have those on a part of my overflow.... Guess I have eggs as well. Anything special that needs to be done?
