Thanks for the info on the cowrie, I did not know that. I found one in the tank a couple of weeks ago. I just found it in the sand next to the anemone. It is now a sump critter.

Yesterday I noticed that my anemone was starting to move. I also noticed that it was almost touching a rock that has some zoas on it. I didn't think anything of it as it has touched other corals before without a problem. Today I come home and the anemone is not in its usual spot. I notice that it is now in the rear corner of the tank when it was in the front. As you can see in the pics an area of it has turned purple and another area looks like it has been cut. Is it possible that the zoas caused the damage in the first pic or is something alse going on? All water parameters and tank conditions are good and have not changed in sometime.

PEX pipe is sold on the John Guest website so you shouldn't have a problem with those fittings.

Pretty widespread outage. I lost power in New Baltimore as well.

I picked up one of these kits as well. this kit would be great if reagent 3 was supplied in a larger quantity. Depnding on your Mag levels you use approx. 1.25 mL of reagent per test. The vial supplied is only 15 mL.

I brought the fish home and drip acclimated with water that matched the salinity of BRK's. Copps replied to my PM and suggested that I keep an eye on the ammonia levels. I started daily 30% water changes and Maracyn treatments today. Hopefully this will solve the problems.

The symptoms are exactly as keeperofthefish described. He is eating great and all other activity seems pretty normal except his breathing seems to be a little rapid. I sent a PM to John. Hopefully he has a chance to jump in here.

My butterfly has the same symptoms. I did a search for these two names on Rc and came of with a dozen different reccomendations for medications. The most common being TMP-Sulfa, Neomycin Sulfate, and Tetracycline. Has anybody successfully used these drugs to cure Pseudomonas? Thanks to everyone for your responses.

Ok. The pyramid is now isolated in a spare 10 gallon tank that I plumbed into my QT. I am using a hyposalinity quarantine. Is this enough to kill the ich or should I medicate? Sounds like I need to sign my pyramid up for self defense classes.

The powder brown will ocassionally swim toward the pyramid but I have never seen it get close enough to actually nip it. My PB went crazy when I added a rabbitfish as well but after a day the settled down and were fine.

I picked this pyramid up from BRK a couple of weeks ago and brought him home and put him in my QT. Shortly after that my powder brown in my tang developed ich. So, I pulled all of the fish out of the tank and put them in my QT. I noticed the other day that my pyramid now has some spots on its side. Is this ich or some other disease or parasite? Also what recommendations do you have on treatment?
