Stand Wider than Aquarium

I have a wood stand with the dimensions of 72L x 36w x36h. It was built with the intentions of using it for a 300 gallon aquarium. Let's just say the tank move didn't go as planned and I'm looking into comprable options. The aquarium I am looking at is 30" wide. Will the 6" difference be okay, relatively speaking?

I’m no engineer, but I would think you would need to rebrace the bottom at the 30” mark to fully support the back of the tank.

just put in 2-4 vertical braces across the back of the tank 6” in and you should be fine.

The tank is 72.5x30.5x30". It'll be only the width of the stand which will be larger.
