RW09903 November 10, 2021 Share November 10, 2021 I have a wood stand with the dimensions of 72L x 36w x36h. It was built with the intentions of using it for a 300 gallon aquarium. Let's just say the tank move didn't go as planned and I'm looking into comprable options. The aquarium I am looking at is 30" wide. Will the 6" difference be okay, relatively speaking? epleeds November 10, 2021 Share November 10, 2021 I’m no engineer, but I would think you would need to rebrace the bottom at the 30” mark to fully support the back of the tank. just put in 2-4 vertical braces across the back of the tank 6” in and you should be fine. howaboutme November 10, 2021 Share November 10, 2021 It depends on how long the tank is and how many cross members (front to back) that you have within that length.
RW09903 November 10, 2021 Author Share November 10, 2021 The tank is 72.5x30.5x30". It'll be only the width of the stand which will be larger.
