Ask phisigs if you can barrow his copper banded find out for sure It is growing like crazy.... but those copper bandeds are really nice looking. What do they eat besides those evil aptasias? I'd be happy to have one living in my tank. Right now it's FOWLR and may have a few corals eventually, but is filled with evil algae that is being eaten quickly by snails. Yay.
GaryL September 25, 2006 September 25, 2006 look at a pick of a borneman anemone and see if it looks closer to that?
traveller7 September 25, 2006 September 25, 2006 Found this in my tank when I got home from vacation. Not sure what it is.Looks very much like the Bartholomae species, same one that contains curly cue anemones from the Atlantic,Bartholomae annulata. Way to small to be sure, but nematocyst structure is not like your garden variety Aiptasia species. Catch 22: need to grow it out for better ID - it may grow into lots fwiw: If it were mine, I would risk it in a fuge or semi isolated environment :>) fwiw2: It is definitely not a "Borneman Anemone".

I do have a large curly q in the tank... used to have 3. Perhaps one of them split off before it croaked..... Don't have the fuge set up yet but hopefully the hubby is reading over my shoulder :-).
rrubberbandman September 26, 2006 September 26, 2006 squiddly, where does youre rock originate from? Bryan
squiddly September 26, 2006 Author September 26, 2006 squiddly, where does youre rock originate from? Bryan Very good question. Lots of different places. I got some at Marine Scene, got some at Centerville, some mail order. Some is tongan, some is blue ridge, some is fiji. I did a lot of my tank set ups and stocking prior to joining this wonderful resource, and prior to finding such great people who have been SO helpful.
