karavak April 13, 2021 Share April 13, 2021 Howdy, I'm looking to replace my, starting to fail, original LED lights. Currently I have two units over the tank. I have a 180 72"x24"x24" tank that I would like to keep clams, LPS, Zoa's and softies. Currently it is some LPS, Zoa's and softies. From the what I've been seeing it looks like 2-3 fixtures would be needed to give the proper coverage. Since fixtures can range from $200-800 for a single unit, I was trying to figure out the best lighting solution that would be around 1k or under. I would appreciate any suggestions or advice. Thanks! lynn.reef.nerd April 14, 2021 Share April 14, 2021 You should consider the Reef Breeder Photon.

Looks like it would cover most the tank so I could move things around to ensure everything is getting the right amount of light. And it can work with the Apex VDM which goes with helping me control things through my phone/one interface.
ranger April 15, 2021 Share April 15, 2021 Save yourself some money and put 1 led[around 150 watts] on a light mover........very easy to put an attractive cover over the mover......i run a single mh250 on my 72inch 150 covers every inch with the mover. lowsingle April 16, 2021 Share April 16, 2021 8 or 6 bulb ATI T 5 with reefbrite blue led strips along the sides. It has produced killer results in my tank. Darren
