brianisoutside March 18, 2021 Share March 18, 2021 I was looking at an empty RoDi canister and had the thought of packing it with carbon and floss and using it in place of the typical carbon filter?Anyone have any thoughts or experience doing it? jhOU March 19, 2021 Share March 19, 2021 Good deal, going to give it a shot next filter changeSent from my iPhone using TapatalkDo you want to convert it to a carbon reactor for use in the tank? Or in place of carbon block in rodi system? Yes It can be converted to a reactor. But no you cannot use granulated carbon for rodi system (at least not effectively).Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I initially read it as for a reactor, which is what I use it for. Sorry if I read your post wrong. The carbon blocks for the RO system are rated for a certain micron size which you won’t get by replacing with just granulated carbon. The carbon block serves as a cheap prefilter to extend the life of your membrane. Not worth the diy IMO.
