danskim September 6, 2006 Share September 6, 2006 I am considering getting a small group of fish, but I am undecided on which species. I think I am going to stick with some kind of anthia - The species I am looking at are the lyretail and dispar anthias. Most likely it'll be a combination of 1 male and 2 or 3 females (in a 140g tank). What do you guys think? Any other suggestions for a colorful schooling type fish? That will impact your choices. There are some more colorful anthias, but they get bigger. I am also getting a bunch of Vanderbilt chromis from Hawaii on the 18th. They are an AWESOME chromis. They school great. And they are an increadible color. Google them if you want to see. Michael
danskim September 6, 2006 Author Share September 6, 2006 Hi. I mentioned the size of the tank in my first post. It is a 140g tank with the dimensions of 48x24x29. I'll look into those chromis.

Sorry, missed the size. You might also want to look into the Hawaiian Bicolor anthias. IMO, much nicer than the dispar or lyretail, just a little more expensive ($30 ea vs $10-$12 ea). If you look here: http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum/vendor...bicolor+anthias I posted a picture of the bicolors. danskim September 6, 2006 Author Share September 6, 2006 $10-12 each? I would love to buy anthias at that price. Do you have a link or is it a LFS that sells them so cheaply? Yeah I've seen those Hawaiian ones. Definitely very beautiful. Oh I see that you have a site. I'll keep an eye out on it.

You'll be notified when I get new order. Unfortunately, right now, I'm down to 1 dispar, and 2 lyretails left. Michael

nyaquatic September 6, 2006 Share September 6, 2006 Ok, email sent. How often do you get orders in? On average, every 1-2 weeks (depending on order size) I have Hawaiian fish coming the 18th. I have Bali coming the 27th. These are both big orders.
