Mattb1612 March 19, 2020 Share March 19, 2020 So today when feeding my fish I feed my DT and went down stairs to feed mysis. I use a turkey Baster to feed them and I totally blanked and took water from the qt system that has copper in it. My question is now can I use the turkey baster again or no since it was exposed to copper? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
smokythemattman@gmail.com March 19, 2020 Share March 19, 2020 You just suck some QT water up and realize the oops and squirt it back into the QT? If so I wouldn't sweat it at all. I'd rinse it out a few times and be on my way. Ive done the same thing.
WheresTheReef March 19, 2020 Share March 19, 2020 I recommend separate equipment for the DT and QT. Anything wet can carry parasites over to your DT and nullifies the benefits of treating your fish. Copper is not tolerated by inverts. If you got a little water with copper in the DT it will likely be diluted. Running carbon will help to remove it as well. Are you treating fish prophylactically, or due to a parasite?
