Joshifer September 8, 2019 September 8, 2019 Okay so I’m doing this budget thing both lights are $30 bucks. Again its a small 5G prolly have Xenia GSP and a frogspawn. Option 1 evo clip led Includes 6 LEDs 3 watt LED 800 Lumen 4x 10000K LEDs 2x Actinic 460nm LEDs Slim and contemporary light design option 2 deep blue solar flare led 2 6500k daylight 2 10000k 1 actinic 460nm both are clip on goose necks. The evo is on eBay the solar flare is at reef escape in Fairfax.
ImGoingCoastal September 8, 2019 September 8, 2019 I wouldn't do either. I think I have the solar flare on my Betta tank. I definy wouldn't buy that for a reef tank.I'd do this and save yourself the trouble of upgrading later.ABI 12W Tuna Blue LED Bulb Coral Reef Optimized Spectrum PAR38 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LWP37SD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_mngDDbKFZWJB3 (though I'd get the 23W)There are plenty of other options in the $50-60 range if you're looking for something a little more aesthetically pleasing.Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk

ImGoingCoastal September 8, 2019 September 8, 2019 A lot of people buy clip on goosenecks for them. Nano-reef has a ton of people using them. Just do a search and see if it's right for you. This light also is used a lot and had good reviews from what I remember:HIPARGERO LED Aquarium Light - Aquarium LED Lights 30W Saltwater Lighting with Touch Control and 3W Cree Chips for Coral Reef Fish Nano Tank https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0727V8C5Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_quhDDb6X8MPN4I always wanted to try one but never got the opportunity. Look up "aquaknight" on nano-reef for reviews.Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk

ImGoingCoastal September 8, 2019 September 8, 2019 This may help you with your decision. The light you're looking at is a clone of it (like the black boxes).Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk

Only thing I don’t like is the clamp gets in the water and it’s coated metal. I’m gonna make something to stick behind the tank to attach it to. Maybe a sturdy paper towel holder. But the colors really nice and uniform. No rainbows or stripes. And it remembers the intensity you had it set last so a timer will work with it. Awesome buy for $60. The coralline on my rock really pops so other more colorful things should look nice. Thanks for the tip on this light.
