RO/DI Water Filtration with CR Spotless + RO

Looking to upgrade my RO/DI and car pressure washer system in the garage - saw a product that de-ionizes water to provide a "spotless" car wash and was wondering if this could be outfitted with an RO unit to provide RO/DI water.

 

Has anyone seen or had experience with this product before?

I can't find it, but we had a discussion about this several years back in a thread that Dave S started. Bottom line: These systems rely on a large DI resin module and are far more costly to operate on a per-gallon basis because there is no initial reduction of dissolved solids by an RO membrane. You could probably build one of these for a quarter of what they're asking. But it still wouldn't be cost-effective for aquarium use.
