YBeNormal June 27, 2006 Share June 27, 2006 Sad that they would do such a thing. Even sadder to realize that no fine or penalty will ever undo the damage that has been done to the environment.
Caribbean Jake June 27, 2006 Author Share June 27, 2006 the above incident together with all the fines to the Cruise Ships from the last 10 years are the reason why the Caribbean Coral Reef is dying, but no one makes a stand... why? beacuse there is too much $$$$$ involved in the tourism industry for both USA (Florida and Puerto Rico) as well as all the other Caribbean Islands. HowardofNOVA June 28, 2006 Share June 28, 2006 The almighty dollar will either save the reef or destoy it! Probably the later though!
rsaavedra July 10, 2006 Share July 10, 2006 WOW CJ! Sad but true, the reefs on our lands are dying but no one makes a stand but tell the GOV that tourism is dying in the US/PR and they will devote $/resources to get it back on track but no a $0.01 on reef conservation. phisigs79 July 10, 2006 Share July 10, 2006 I think the reason that they don't care about the reefs is because so many people do not realize or know what a beautiful place under the sea is. If more people saw what they are destroying maybe there might be a change but it may be too late!
