what a shame for Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority Indicted For Environmental Crimes; Will Pay $10 Million in Criminal and Civil Fines and Spend $1.7 Billion Improving Wastewater Treatment ... but they fall short from saying that the discharge was on the surrounding waters where corals and fish wildlife abound.

Sad that they would do such a thing. Even sadder to realize that no fine or penalty will ever undo the damage that has been done to the environment.

the above incident together with all the fines to the Cruise Ships from the last 10 years are the reason why the Caribbean Coral Reef is dying, but no one makes a stand... why? beacuse there is too much $$$$$ involved in the tourism industry for both USA (Florida and Puerto Rico) as well as all the other Caribbean Islands.

The almighty dollar will either save the reef or destoy it! Probably the later though!

WOW CJ! Sad but true, the reefs on our lands are dying but no one makes a stand but tell the GOV that tourism is dying in the US/PR and they will devote $/resources to get it back on track but no a $0.01 on reef conservation.

I think the reason that they don't care about the reefs is because so many people do not realize or know what a beautiful place under the sea is. If more people saw what they are destroying maybe there might be a change but it may be too late!
