molcott August 29, 2017 August 29, 2017 so I am currently just using a 20 galling long tank with no baffles as a sump. I was thinking of getting some plexiglass to make some baffles for it and hold them in place with reef putty do you think that will work?
tygger August 29, 2017 August 29, 2017 Since you have the ability to work on this sump without water already in it, I would use a reef-safe (no mold inhibitors, etc) silicone caulk.

Brucenemours August 29, 2017 August 29, 2017 (edited) I'm not sure if reef putty will adhere to glass, I could be wrong but check on that. Do a sump bypass for a day and drain the sump to silicone the baffles in place. Another idea is to buy another 20 long and put baffles in it and simply swap it out. Trade or sell the old 20.
