I've moved my tanks 3 times and have had success each time. I've ways disassembled all major corals and packaged up very similar to how you would if you shipped them (Used hot hands to keep them warm). If corals are still attached pr encrusted for rocks I would transport them in 5 gallon buckets with just enough water to submerge them. You can also throw fish in the buckets as well. I left the sand in the tank with enough water to just keep it saturated but no excess water. If you have excess live rock you can store them in styrofoam containers with saturated news paper over them to keep them moist. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

I run a lighting cycle very similar to WWC. First 5 hours has more of a white spectrum and the last 7 hours is a solid blue/uv spectrum. It's worked out great for me so far! Thank you for the like! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

I have utter chaos in the tank already and they don't look similar but if they are coloring up you could be correct. They are in much better shape now than they were a month ago. I will try to get better pics Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Ive played around with a few different filter modifications for this tank and settled on a simple but effective setup that has been running steady with no issues for alittle over a year now. I use to run an intank media basket in the first partition, media bags in the second, and heater/return pump in the third. I also tried to creat my own filter sock mod for the first partition but that didn't work out so well. I wanted to play around with a skimmer so I purchased the fluval MINI skimmer and now run that in partition one and the original foam filter in partition two with the ATO, heater, and return pump in partition three. This has been my ongoing setup for alittle over a year now and I love it. Its so simple and works great. Overall I have seen huge success in my tank from the beginning with very little maintenance and TLC. I will do a post in the near future showing progress as well as trial and error aspects of the journey.

Last week I added a small fluvial sea mini protein skimmer to my fluvial sea evo XII tank. I went with this skimmer because it is specifically designed to fit in the overflow/all in one sump. It has been working great and I can visually see that it is keeping up with the bio load in the tank. The only problem I have is micro bubbles. Is anyone familiar with this skimmer or has had this issue and knows how to help? Currently the skimmer sits in the first partition where the overflow is. In the second partition I have a mesh sponge filter that was included with the tank, and the last partition is the return pump, heater, and ATO. Thanks!

I'm not sure if reef putty will adhere to glass, I could be wrong but check on that. Do a sump bypass for a day and drain the sump to silicone the baffles in place. Another idea is to buy another 20 long and put baffles in it and simply swap it out. Trade or sell the old 20. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

To add onto small pumps, I upgraded my pump in the Fluval Sea Evo XII. If anyone else has the same tank they know that the pump will do the job but doesn't have the best flow rate and fits very snug into the back chamber. The "factory pump" is rated at 134 gph I believe, or something around that. I upgraded to a Hydor Centrifugal pump. It is about half the size, quiet, and pushes 300gph. I am able to control the flow rate as well. The pump paired with a hydor nano powerhead pushing 240gph allows me to turn over the tank at most 40 times an hour. If anyone has a tank around the same size, and is looking to save a considerable amount of space, I highly recommend this pump. The dimensions are 2 3/4"L x 1 1/2"W x 3 1/4"H

I have not plugged the hole yet but I do plan on it next time I get some putty. I'm not sure why they do that either. My old fluval tank had the same hole as well and I plugged it.

So anyone who has a Fluval Sea Evo XII knows that the filter does not have the best design out there. I am currently playing around with a few options. Examples are a DIY media rack, or something like the InTank media rack. I do not plan on running the fluval skimmer so both chambers one and two are open to customization. Any ideas? I would like to see some completed projects and how they have worked out for you. Thanks! -Bruce

Great looking tank! Whatever your doing, keep it up. I recently set up a nano using the same tank and have it paired with a AI Prime as well. Been toying with the setting for the past few days. One questions I have for you is how do you have the sump/filtration compartments organized? One thing I did from the beginning is upgrade the pump to a Hydor centrifugal 300 pump giving that it is considerably smaller and over double the output. Because of this I was able to fit my heater and the pump together in that last compartment. I was thinking about crafting a filter sock for the first compartment and filling the second with bio balls or a bag of ceramic media. or possibly just some filter floss right below the intake/overflow slots and then bio balls or ceramic media in the second compartment. I would leave some room in the middle compartment for a bag of carbon or anything else if need be. Thoughts? I see you did a makeshift media basket and was awaiting an InTank media basket. Do you have any complaints about the InTank basket?
