Jeskay14 August 14, 2017 August 14, 2017 With all my family members I am not able to do a separate load to clean my filter socks. Is anyone doing one anytime soon? I'd be happy to pay a fee if need be! Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
WheresTheReef August 14, 2017 August 14, 2017 Switch to mesh socks. You can just rinse them off by hand when you swap them out.
F&Fmgr August 14, 2017 August 14, 2017 I used to, in a 5 gallon bucket, add hot water, bleach and filter socks. I would stir the bucket with a 1" x 18" PVC piece. Leave sit over night. RInse the next morning then soak in Prime for half a day, stirring at least once. Then rinse and reuse. Interestingly enough Ive found that using a dechlor like prime really whitens them up.
FirstContact August 19, 2017 August 19, 2017 My wife won't let me wash them at home; so, I rinse them outside and take them to the laundromat.
tygger August 19, 2017 August 19, 2017 (edited) I usually just rinse with a jet spray in the utility sink and wring a few times... then let it soak in either bleach or vinegar overnight. Then rinse it the next day and let dry. Edited August 19, 2017 by tygger
