So I went to the national aquarium last weekend which was a treat. Their only tanks with coral in them were gorgeous but all easy mode corals I think. The lighting in them was the real draw though. They just GLOW and I want that for my tank. Does anyone know how I can get that?? I have AI Hydras from 2013 and the spectrum is more blue and very low atm. 97406020f3dc0bb6f977f7e747429a4b.jpg1caa5c6e570b1e597103cb349e77f166.jpg

I'd be surprised if it wasn't MH... there is a bulb that many of the MH folks swear by.. every time I see one in action.. I want it haha.. it's such a nice light

you can...  Just add some t5's.  ATI Blue+ and purple +  shoud do the trick in combination to your hydras.

It will take a tad bit of modification but yes. Have a link to a pic of your tank?

Stripped the screws on the sides which is why it's so low right now. About to get in replacements. Orherwiss it's be at least 6" off the water. Not really sure if I want to ruin the nice clean look of the rail with the AIs. I also don't want to make it harder to get into the tank..

Yah the clean look would probab6 disappear if you wanted to add t5s.

Thanks anyway. Maybe I'll fool around with the light spectrum...
