Remember that Lights of America group buy that Magnetic1 orchestrated in January? Well, I finally got around to replacing my old PC floods. It's nice, and you can't beat the price, but I discovered somthing pretty cool. If you unsolder the light sensor from the circuit board, and wire it back in place with a couple of long wires, you can use it to turn off the fuge light when the main lights (actinic or halides, your choice) come on.

I didn't take too many pictures during the process, but here it is assembled.

I sealed the hole in the light housing, and the backside of the sensor, with silicone.

Then secured the sensor under the actinics.

Nice new lights. One less timer.

That is pretty cool. Dave, you will have to show me how you did that.

It's dead easy. If you can make a good solder joint, you're there. If you've got one, I can show you how. ALso grounded the thing while I was at it.

We need to get together at some point anyway, I can show you then.

Sounds good. Yes we do need to get together so you can show me what you need done.
