Origami May 25, 2016 May 25, 2016 I want to confirm the m142 will also work...anyone? I don't know for sure. I don't have access to the M81 and M142 ANSI specifications which could help illuminate the differences between the specs. (Perhaps Coral Hind does?) You'll often see lamps listing M81 and M102 and M142 as compatible ballasts, however. The drive current for both lamps appears to be the same or nearly so (about 1.8 A) between M81 and M102 (I can't say about M142). The starting pulse voltage differs inasmuch as the M81 spec calls for an ignition voltage of 4000-6000 volts, which is higher than the M102's starting pulse voltage of 3000-4000 volts. ASSUMING that the M142 and M102 are nearly the same, then The M142 should be able to operate the M81 lamp if it can generate enough of a pulse to get the lamp started.
Lowefx May 25, 2016 Author May 25, 2016 The picture of the current ballasts says right on the lable, M81, M142. We shall see. I think it will be fine tho. At least I hope so.... Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Lowefx June 29, 2016 Author June 29, 2016 Ok, wiring nightmare. Everything is wired up except the moonlight leds. I still gotta cut holes for the. I added 2 extra fans also. I can't wait to hook it up. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
