AUFishGuy February 23, 2016 Share February 23, 2016 So I have been looking at what I want to add next and I came across Cooks Island Deep Water Canary Damsels. After doing some research I am worried about putting them into a reef tank due to the lighting. If these are deep water fish wouldn't the high intensity lighting of a reef tank be too much for them? What are your thoughts?
YHSublime February 23, 2016 Share February 23, 2016 My personal thoughts have always been: If it is a deep water creature, why would you put it in a tank that was maybe 2' deep tops?
Bruleyii February 23, 2016 Share February 23, 2016 Most of our corals that we have in the tank are not 2' down in the ocean. But it does look like they are around 150' down.

Eh, just personal thoughts. Where is the line drawn? We could say that coral and fish don't belong in an aquarium at all, how do we decide? Djplus1 February 23, 2016 Share February 23, 2016 I would think water temps would be more of an issue perhaps?
