davelin315 February 9, 2016 February 9, 2016 I wrote a couple of articles on this type of life for our old newsletters. These tiny creatures living in the rocks are what are called microfauna. Micro means extremely small and fauna refers to animal life so it literally means extremely small animal life. You will see a lot of marine worms and copepods/amphipods (small crustraceans) living in there, commonly referred to as pods. I will try and find the article I wrote and also get some pictures for you on our electron microscope.
