Guest Darwinn69 April 12, 2006 April 12, 2006 Just had a brain storm the other day. Has the club though about printing up some WAMAS flyers to put at the checkout register of some local fish stores? It wouldn't cost the club much other than printing and some cheap plastic holders. It would be a nice way for the club to get the word out that we exist to people who might not otherwise know we are here. And it would benifit the store because the customer would be more likely to stick with the hobby and theirfor spend more money in the long run. Just a thought...
Caribbean Jake April 12, 2006 April 12, 2006 Yes, we have WAMAS flyers already done. You can contact Glen a.k.a. "Reefmon" and he can send you the flyers for you to print out and post. That is a great marketing tool we seldomly explote or lack to promote. For the last two years I took the lead in marketing and promoting WAMAS to the extent that I can attribute at least 25 new members to those efforts, but all alone is toooo much for me specially when I work outside the area in ocasion on assigmnet. I will lokk for one old flyer I have from previous years, but I encourage you to contact Glen and/or Craig a.k.a. "Gaitortailale" and ask for a copy of the flyer. Thaks for your suuport and involvement on this, I really need and appreciate the help. Jacob

Caribbean Jake April 12, 2006 April 12, 2006 :D cause I been taking care of Reston, Herndon, Dulles, Clifton, Centreville, Chantilly, Oaks Hill, and Sterling.... and sure need the help in Alexandria and surrounding towns. Also, this is OUR CLUB, we all can make it happen. WAMAS depends strongly on it's members, and the members depend stronlgy on WAMAS. Thank you for your efforts.

Caribbean Jake April 12, 2006 April 12, 2006 Is real simple. Talk to the Manager of the Store, tell him what we do in your own words, be honest and trustful and you will end up posting more flyers than you ever though possible. Trust me, I did with PETCO and ended up posting in every PETCO in NOVA.
EricBrian April 12, 2006 April 12, 2006 What about PetsMart? They don't have SW livestock but they do have some SW supplies... They may put out some info. A brand new store opened where I live and I could ask them if they would do that.
