Caulerpa or bryopsis? And another id...

This tank was set up for two years before I purchased it. It has been set up in my home since March.

Last month I had sea lettuce show up out of nowhere. Now this week I have found three other things growing.

Looks it the first has been identified as Halimeda.

The next looks to be Caulerpa...but how do I tell the difference between Caulerpa and bryopsis?

No clue what the third is.

Why would all these be showing up now?

Thanks for any help!

You have the feather caulerpa. Once it takes hold in a tank its hard to get rid of. Bryopsis is more furry looking.

Thanks to both of you!

Of course it is on the back of my rocks :::sigh::: I was able to remove most of it. Will keep an eye out for more.

Can this come in on frags? The last thing added to the tank was 3 frags a few months ago.

caulerpa serrulata is very desirable and is a slow grower. grow lots of it and sell it for $$

Uh oh, little too late for some of the caulerpa serrulata lol
