Dario5678 May 31, 2015 May 31, 2015 I am in the process of filling my 90 gallon. It is almost at the top, however I noticed a few floaters (dust/stuff) that I missed when cleaning it. I bout it new. Can I just use an hob filter for a while to get those out...or put some type of filter in the sump? I currently own a hob for a ten gallon I was using for my ten gallon fowlr. Also, when added salt the water got pretty cloudy and with bubbles on the window. To start I will be adding 15 pounds of live rock from my current ten gallon that been running since January,
John Ford May 31, 2015 May 31, 2015 Should be fine. If you have a sock to put on the drain that will help but other than that just let it run its course
gmerek2 May 31, 2015 May 31, 2015 Dust/stuff is not a big deal. I would do nothing. The only stuff that can be a big deal is chemicals and copper. Use RODI in clean spraybottle to clean glass not windex as overspray gets in tank. We have all had magnets rust in water and have had steel items in water with no problems. I try to rinse hands/arms when I can before entering tank but sometimes I don't. It helps some to keep hands out but not a huge deal.
