Lighting shallow reef

Hi i was wondering some different ways of lighting a shallow reef not sure if I am getting a 6 inch or also looking at 10 and 14 inches of height. I would prefer less but open for really anything.

How about using an LED setup that has two or three channels adjustability in terms of color and intensity? For a while, a lot of us were buying Evergrow fixtures but there are a lot of similar products out there.
