So I've finally gotten around to setting up an actual display tank! Hopefully, this is going to keep me occupied for a long time. Much easier to keep up with a nano's 2g once a week/every other week water change than in my previous huge tanks where I needed 2 brute trashcans worth.

And my recent pick up from Incredible Corals.

So far I just have my C. cyanea damsel female. It's pretty cramped compared to her old tank but she's well fed and not chased by the male anymore so she seems relatively content.

I've modified the Evolve (who doesn't mod these things?) with a new Coral Compulsion Par30 18k bulb, an Avast ATO, a diy media basket with filter floss, chemipure (doing amazing for hair algae and diatoms which are magically nonexistent) and just added purigen today. Hopefully that and my current weekly water changes help with keeping the nitrates down. I'm feeding heavily but I'm not sure if I can help it. My cucumber somehow survived the move, so I'm torn between over feeding so it doesn't starve or upgrading (not really on the agenda).

Things I still need to work on; I need to get a skimmer that fits in the tiny space in the back or a hob. This little tank definitely needs more water movement than I have, but every time I turn on the koralia 240 it's like a hurricane. I'm wondering if an MP10 would be better.

The great thing about this little tank is the ease of maintenance, and that I can use all the stuff I never got around to putting on my old tank on here. Even have my Neptune ACIII on this. I'm even tempted to add a big sump to it, just for kicks.

I'd like to get an okinawa goby or something similar (I'd like to do a lot actually but my damsel is a little prohibitive) but it's probably too much on the bioload and I won't be doing anything until I can get my nitrates fully under control.

And somehow I have a 20g QT going for my 8g display.. how does that work?!

Looks nice!

Thanks!!

The nitrates were cut in half, guessing mostly in part to the Purigen. Macro algae doesn't seem to help much but hopefully it'll stay down with just regular maintenance.

My light fixture came in today off ebay so no more sketchy clamp lamp hanging crooked off the back edge of the tank. I've also been turning on the Koralia powerhead for a few hours a day and once it gets going everything seems to open and love the flow. Except for the damsel :/

Everything is hooked up to my Neptune ACIII! But my install disk is damaged and I can't run or copy the install files. Not fun.

Out of what's left in my 20g I still have a maxi mini anemone to move over; but I'm not sure anything else that I have will fit in here lol.

Looking back, that's such a sad fts... Time for a new one. Better one to come, but I love that the damsel was out in this shot.

Looks nice! Isn't it nice for a while going to a smaller tank?

It is super nice. It's ridiculous how easy the maintenance is. Now if only I could take pictures without crazy halation....and with everything open at the same time lol.

Looks like it's filling in quick! Are those rock nems, or toadstools at the top?

I have no more space! :) They're two different toadstools. Both have recovered nicely from the tiny frags that I saved from my move. One on top was my very first coral and the lower one I got from lanman. They both were nearly the size of soccerballs in my 360g.

Bought over 20 frags from Reefs2go (15 zoas) and somehow fit all of them in here last night with the exception of the giant piles of macroalgae they sent me.

As my mom put it, "that fat blue fish can barely move!"

Not much has changed, getting super nice growth on zoas and my heliopora. Hammer doesn't have any white under the heads anymore, and I can't even keep certain corals. Probably have some swings happening somewhere, but I haven't tested anything seriously.

This was the last pic I took with all the zoas in it. I think I might be making some big changes to this tank soon, since I have my 30g up and running now.

It's back!

Moved this tank to my desk at work after just using it as a QT for awhile. The C. cyanea female has been hanging out in the 30g Display's fuge area so that I could just focus on one tank's water quality. Now that I've got the swing of things with that tank, I wanted to give her her own space again where she has more interaction.

Tank is completely set up specifically as a display for her (and maybe a +1). Several caves and space for digging. As soon as the new rock is seeded I'll probably remove that top piece, so aquascape may change once the fish is established.

I have a little all-blue male in QT I'm still debating on whether or not to pair her with in this tank.

The glare makes photo's hard. Bringing more frags and cuc from home on Monday.
