I used some black mesh netting (forget the name) to muffle the sound on the interior sides of the box and all was good. I pulled it all out to clean it and removed the lid inside the box. I've tried packing it tight/loose and every combination but can't get it to be quiet again after replacing it! Any suggestions? It's not just a little louder though it's a loud suction noise. I'm thinking maybe the lid isn't fitting on perfectly letting it suck in a little air instead of creating a full siphon. I thought I was hitting the inside of the pipe before with the skewer but it must have been caked up with some hard salt. All is good now. Thanks all!
