Beckmola24 February 16, 2015 February 16, 2015 So I have a 24inch setup on my tank and mainly have zoas and lps. I currently have this order Purple plus Blue plus True actinic Coral plus I want a little more blue in my tank.... I feel it's a little too purple/pink. The true actinic is way too dim for my taste as well. Which would you switch out for better Zoa color? I was thinking of switching the actinic for the aqua blue special but also could do another blue plus. Any ideas or suggestions?

BowieReefer84 February 16, 2015 February 16, 2015 (edited) I run 2 coral+ and 2 blue+ in my ATI and like it a lot. It's def blue, but not 20k. Another popular combo is 3 blue+ and 1 purple+. (this would be 20k) You will regret any combo that involves an aquablue special. Edited February 16, 2015 by BowieReefer84

I agree with this lighting combo. I use it on my tank, like it quite a bit. What would the extra blue + bring out in the zoas? Blues? Blue + is a combo of blue color with actinic. You'll get the same colors popping as the actinic, but with a bright blue color to balance out the coral + and purple +. The aquablue just looks white to me, so you'd still get some of the purple/pink color, and the coral fluorescence would feel a bit washed out.
