lochnesslarsen February 1, 2015 February 1, 2015 I moved to Virginia in August and have had my aquariums setup since that time. I have a 29g JBJ and a 45 gallon rimless jbj aquariums. I use a BRS 4-stage R/O system and keep my saltwater in a 45g trash container at least 48 hours before adding it to my aquariums. I have read everything I can about what causes cloudy water and tried to make changes that would help resolve the issue, but I haven't had any luck. I'm feeding once every other day so I don't think I'm overfeeding. I have protein skimmers on both aquariums. On my 45g I have an Aqua Remora S. I have carbon filtration on both aquariums. I recently converted my 29 to freshwater out of frustration, but it also has cloudy water after being setup for a month. My live stock in the 45 is a pair of Clarkii Clownfish, scooter blenny, and yellow prawn goby. Any help would be appreciated. Also I like in Spotsylvania, Va.
Coral Hind February 1, 2015 February 1, 2015 I had a cloudy water issue and running ozone cleared it up quickly. UV would help the same way. It can be bacteria or algae that is causing it. What have you tried already?
Octoman February 2, 2015 February 2, 2015 Do you have microbubbles or general cloudiness in the tanks? How do you have your skimmers situated on/in the tanks, could you post pictures?
lochnesslarsen February 2, 2015 Author February 2, 2015 I have the skimmer setup in the filtration. I will add pictures tonight.
