DuffyGeos January 20, 2015 January 20, 2015 I thought about that.. but left it for the support.. .. the doors are 24 by 31.. pretty big openings. the counter is 41 inches high. Now im re-thinking it.. crap..lol Sorry to burst your bubble! LOL One good and bad thing about WAMAS is that everyone is willing to help, and they try to help people learn from their own mistakes. If you ask before you do something you will get tons of ideas. If you ask afterwards you may get tons of ideas of how to improve it . Since it is glass and the load is around the rim you are putting that load 6" inside the front edge of the stand. since you are using 4" x 4"s the nominal size is 3.5" x 3.5" which puts the front edge load of your tank 2.5" inside your front support posts which look like they are being held by screws. None of your cross members sit on top of the 4 x 4's so all of that load is maybe a worry for the shearing off the screws.

I did put a board across the top to help the load.. I will have to rethink maybe add corner braces to the top. I wouldnt want any issues down the road..
