Cheshireboxers January 10, 2015 Share January 10, 2015 Maybe some of you can help me with a issue we are having with micro bubble coming into the tank via the returns we are running a external pump running everything the protein skimmer is external any advice on how to get rid of these running sockets on both returns going into the sump and a sock on the return from the protein skimmer have rock and rubble rock in the sump and foam in one of the baffles any suggestions Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

zygote2k January 10, 2015 Share January 10, 2015 is the pump sucking air via vortex because the inlet is too close to the surface? put a 90 on the inlet on the sump side turned towards the bottom of the sump. this should prevent errant bubbles entering the water column. We're suppose to see him tomorrow so maybe he can explain it to me more. I did put the felt bags back on all of the drains that helped a lot.
