I prefer to have a built-in digital TDS meter but of course that costs extra $$

i would look into the filter cartridges to see where they can be purchased. the di cartridge is not see through either. i would rather invest in a good used one from a member.

These units are not good for making large quantities of water. Get a nice standard unit from BRS or AWI and enjoy the long term savings to be had.
