MrSexyShrimp October 29, 2014 October 29, 2014 Saw this guy in the tank today near my montipora frag. Must've hitchhiked from something I got at the fall meeting. Got nervous, pulled him out with forceps but accidentally tore off a good portion of his foot. Whoops. Good guy, bad guy, indeterminate?
MrSexyShrimp October 29, 2014 Author October 29, 2014 Oh and the foot kept wriggling around on its own. Was very disturbing.
Squishie89 October 29, 2014 October 29, 2014 (edited) It is a stomatella snail. They can drop their tail similar to what lizards do when they feel threatened to try and distract the prey long enough to get away. These guys are great grazers. The tail portion is no longer alive so you can either toss it or feed it to some LPS Edited October 29, 2014 by Squishie89
