Ok so I have used both the Reeflink and WXM before but I moved to the Reeflink because of ease of use.  The problem is the "Ease" is not very easy because you have to reset it almost each day.  I have done all the updates, on all the devices, and followed every instruction that Ecotech has given.  When it works its amazing but really an issue as it never works when you want it without unplugging and plugging back.

That being said I have the WXM and used it on my vortech's and it worked great.  Was harder to setup but now with Fusion it looks a lot easier.  I also did not have the Radion G3's then but do now.  How hard is it to setup the lights on Fusion?  How is the reliability for WXM?  Was rooting for the Reeflink but it gets old fast.....  Any thought would be great.

I just recently went through setup of G2's and Vortechs on the WXM.  First I will say I am very happy but I have never used reef link.

Make sure you have both your Radion firmware and Apex firmware up to date.  If you don't you may experience the joy of missing link every day.

I was furious for about two days sent a "nice" email to Apex and got great customer support.

The programming aspect in fusion is pretty straight forward and simple.  I love that I can change my vortechs from reef crest for most of the day to nutrient export around feeding time and constant at night.  From playing with Reef link at QR I think the fusion may lack a bit of functionality on the radion side but it definitely meets my needs.

If you decide to go the WXM route send me a PM with your email and I will forward the complete setup process I got from APEX.  You can find it all on their forums but it isn't in one spot.

there is a new update for the reef link...that gets rid of the daily reboot

Sadly I did that update. Actually took the time last night to setup the WXM and so far so good. Just need to know how to program the AFS when triggered to turn down the My Vortech's

I had tremendous amounts of issues with my reeflink. I think it's got a ways to go for a $200 piece of equipment, I expect it to work way better than it does. No experience with wxm.

Agreed. After thinking about it for a bit I decided to give the WXM a shot again since I already had it and it was still set up. Setup was a snap and it's working perfectly. Only time will tell but I now can control my pumps when I feed. Also will program in a nice photo mode for when the mood strikes lol.

when the reef link works its awesome.  I really hope they are able to iron out the connection issues soon.  Right now there is no way I would say its worth the $200 but if you can pick it up for $100 then I think it is.  Its cheaper than the WXM module that way
