TrueTricia August 15, 2014 August 15, 2014 So he went in my tank last night so quietly. He slipped into a rock and wedged himself in there before anyone even noticed him (the lights being off probably helped). He was still there this morning when I left for work. Mr. T was swimming right next to him, but I swear he didn't know he was even there. I'll send you an update tonight when I get home. Can I name him Marco? Or Polo?
TrueTricia August 16, 2014 August 16, 2014 Oh, and niger have beautiful sapphire blue and deep violet purple colors under reef lights. Amazingly beautiful! Thanks!
monkiboy August 18, 2014 Author August 18, 2014 thanks for the photo share and update, tricia. i definitely lose some of the color with just the ambient light in videos. some of the best colors really do come out over reef lighting! enjoy and keep me posted.
gwweber August 18, 2014 August 18, 2014 I have had nigers for years, only get rid of them when they get too big. Never had any issues with them in my reef tank. The one I have now has a heck of a good time fighting over the NORI i feed my tangs. HE LOVES IT True You will love that fish.
gwweber August 18, 2014 August 18, 2014 (edited) P.S. I have one that liked to jump out, and have heard that this is not uncommon with them. The one I had landed in a 10 gallon tank one time on the floor that had a little saltwater in it and was ok. The last time he jumped he landed in the ATO water, that did not end well. Kinda funny he kept jumping in containers with water.BTW having a non wamas cookout on saturday, wamas members welcome with a rsvp.Second Annual Boyds Bash WhereGary Weber’s Home19891 Bucklodge RoadBoyds Maryland(240)4264600 WhenSat August 23rd 4 till whenever Rain Date SundayBring your families and well behaved dogs welcomeI will be supplying Kosher Dogs and Burgers again this yearNeed salads, coleslaw etc. Some sodas and iceOh Yeah Don’t forget desert! We had 40+ people the first year and a great time was had, so this should be bigger and better as I have more time to plan.RSVP Gwweber@msn.com or call me 240 4264600 Edited August 18, 2014 by gwweber
