Guest Kimo February 10, 2006 February 10, 2006 I took my skimmer out from under my stand with its pump tonight and realize I have a real problem on my hands. The 1" bulkhead for the drain from the oceanic tank is leaking. There is salt creep everywhere and the floor of the inside of the stand where the skimmer sits is all messed up. I think the stand is ok, but I will need a new bulkhead. The tank is quite old, so it doesn't surprise me. What size/brand of 1" bulkhead will fit in the drain hole on the Oceanic 180? If someone has a dry Oceanic I would appreciate it if they could measure the hole for me. So much salt everywhere. What a mess. Thanks. Jamie

I have the two "oceanic" brand bulkheads that came with my 58RR if you would like them, you're welcome to them. I ordered PVC compatible bulkheads from marine depot... any that are labeled to fit a 1" drain will work. I believe 1 3/4" is the size of the hole. If you want, like I said I have a few extras laying around. Brand new, never used.
Guest Kimo February 10, 2006 February 10, 2006 Anyone know where I can get some 1" threaded bulkheads locally? I'm talking Reston and points west. Thanks. Jamie It should be pretty standard.
