fishdrummer June 11, 2016 Author Share June 11, 2016 I removed the hermits as they were the culprits in the demise of the Acan in the front. Note it has come back pretty spectacularly since the removal of the unwanted dinner guests. In general i am finding that the snails do a more than adequate job. Bruleyii September 16, 2016 Share September 16, 2016 Dang. Those are some monster colonies you have going on there. Are you afraid of die off on the base from lack of light? Looking great BTW

fishdrummer May 31, 2020 Author Share May 31, 2020 Rimless update 2020: It has been sometime and I hope everyone is fairing ok. The reef needed serious pruning and a redo this is where I am. I upgraded to the Radion G5s and so far happy. I am also using Tropicmarin pro as part of the SWR system and happy w parameters in addition to ALK/CA/RO + KALK supplements. (all dripped 1ml + spectrapure auto topoff. I got rid of the hermits and now rely on two small urchins plus the astrea snails ( I am suspecting the flamehawk of picking some off). GraffitiSpotCorals May 31, 2020 Share May 31, 2020 Good start! I don’t remember seeing the old tank back 5 years ago either, sad I missed it. Looked awesome grown in! Do you have a pic before you cut all the corals out?
