We are using it with ChemiPure, but that is quite pricey. Hence the questions:

 

What is the best media for the money and tank? 

 

Where is the best place to buy the media for this device?

I like bulk reef supply for media. I use carbon and GFO. The larger container u but, the cheaper it is per pound.

 

You can also run it in filter bag in the sump. If you only have one reactor. That make it easier to change out when you need too.

+1 and if not, its cheaper to buy the chemipure elite thru the net. I use to order mine from champion lighting supply they are based in PA for 10 bucks. whenever I did order from them, I would get my elite in 2 days.

Well, according to the BRS website, there is large and small granular carbon. Which one do I want?
