steveoutlaw April 8, 2013 April 8, 2013 Looking to add a mix of seaweed to the tank. Is there a local store that carries the red seaweed with no additives?
swimmatte April 8, 2013 April 8, 2013 Do you have any Asian grocery stores in the area? H Mart is one of them. The one by my house has it.
epleeds April 8, 2013 April 8, 2013 Steve I got some of this. Tangs love it. http://www.marinedepot.com/Two_Little_Fishies_Julian_Sprung%60s_SeaVeggies_Seaweed_Sheet_Seaweed_Fish_Food-Two_Little_Fishies-TL3313-FIFDDRSWSS-vi.html
wade April 9, 2013 April 9, 2013 There are many online sources. I used to order from this one: https://www.seaveg.com/shop/ - A pound of dried seaweed is a lot!! It lasted forever frozen...and my fish loved it. I used to feed a mix of red and green. Far far better than nori. (Its sold for human consumption, so feel free to eat it as well.)
steveoutlaw April 9, 2013 Author April 9, 2013 We have it in stock NOW you tell me. I just ordered it online. I'll keep you in mind for next time.
yauger April 9, 2013 April 9, 2013 Steve, go to global foods off of Minnieville rd. next to home depot. they have red, green, blue? (looks blue to me!) all non-toasted and non salted. just dry seaweed.
wade April 9, 2013 April 9, 2013 The nice thing about the link above that I gave is that the stuff is dried and frozen - not baked. So many more vitamins and lipids are available intact. You should see the difference in the effect on herbivorous fish when they decide they like it!
