Coral Hind April 3, 2013 Share April 3, 2013 The time duration really depends on what size tank you have and what is in it. If your tank is heavily loaded with large fish then the O2 can be reduced much faster. I have not had issues with my tank going short time frames like three hours or so with no power. The battery air pump mentioned above is a great tool to have handy. I have even used a wooden spoon to stir the tank every so often, it is better than nothing.
