flooddc March 24, 2013 Author March 24, 2013 Okay! Last several posts convinced me to take some additional actions (a bit hardheaded!). So, I pulled it off the rock and inspect. Too bad I don't have a good camera w/macro lense! It's might just as well be nudi (I think??). please see pics below. Crap! don't have coralRX, but went ahead and dip in seachem coral dip again 15 minutes (probable won't help, since I dipped it before and did not see anything). Will RODi water dip do anything? and for how long.
Jan March 24, 2013 March 24, 2013 (edited) Can't make out what that is. does it look like these? http://www.reeffarmers.com/tracygraynudi01.htm Edited March 24, 2013 by Jans Natural Reef Foods
flooddc March 24, 2013 Author March 24, 2013 No, doesn't look like it. But they are white kind round and hairy. I don't want to take any chances so dipped it (seachem and then quick rodi dip) as well as the whole rock (freshwater) it was on. see a bunch of pods though! If it's nudibranch, where the heck it come from? I dipped all new corals that I get and why it it not affecting other monti?
Jan March 24, 2013 March 24, 2013 Oh nooo. LOL!!! Don't use RO/DI for SPS. It will kill it. I did the the same thing when I found the nudibranch on the M. confusa. then I went on a dipping frenzy and killed a whole bunch of corals not knowing any better. I don;t mean to laugh but I did the same thing not knowing. Zoas, palys and fish are the only things that can withstand FW dips. No, doesn't look like it. But they are white kind round and hairy. flooddc March 24, 2013 Author March 24, 2013 (edited) It was a quick 1 minute dip! hope it okay. Lesson learned! If it mean killing it and free of pest...I guessed will be worth it since I got some higher ended monti in the tank. Paul - if this monti goes south, I like to buy another piece from you sometime later. Love girly (pink) monti  Edited March 24, 2013 by flooddc
GraffitiSpotCorals March 25, 2013 March 25, 2013 Yea it's still growing on my back wall, just waiting tell it plates out again to get some good pieces off. I think what you found was a little turnicate or sponge filter feeder thing. But hard to say from the pic. They are pretty unmistakeable, I would think it just got stung or something. And yes that monti is freakin PINK I love it. I had a great pic on my phone but its probly deleted...
