Origami February 26, 2013 Share February 26, 2013 They look pretty cool. Unfortunately, the husbandry needs would be difficult to provide: "Blue dragons feed on other pelagic sea creatures such as the venomous Physalia physalis, also known as the "Portuguese Man-Of-War". They eat the stinging, venom-filled tentacles of Physalia and concentrate the venom in the tip of the dark-blue finger-like branches at the end of its six appendages. This protects them from other marine predators."

Mike February 27, 2013 Share February 27, 2013 I'm curious why they say, it "drifts upside down"? If that is what it normally does, why is it not right side up?
Jan February 27, 2013 Share February 27, 2013 (edited) Hmm, maybe because the Portuguese man o' war floats at the top of the water and in order to get to it easily, it floats upside down. I'm curious why they say, it "drifts upside down"? If that is what it normally does, why is it not right side up? sen5241b February 28, 2013 Share February 28, 2013 (edited) Swimming on a reef in Costa Rica and get stung by a man o war the size of my thumb. Instant searing, burning pain. Hurt for hours. I would not want to get stung by that thing. Edited February 28, 2013 by sen5241b
